Stabbing the Clue board to the wall post-losing did nothing to soften up the sour attitude Sherlock sported as he sulked all through dinner, reminding John that, despite the outrageous childishness of it all, Sherlock was every bit a human being with a sense of just and unjust, childish, again, as this instance was.
