It hadn't crossed her mind that her perception of what was "normal" by the standards of her friends was still quite far from the "normal" they meant, and it only blipped into thought as she collected bewildered expressions into her memory jar, she liked to call it, as they turned one-by-one in her direction to take in her shimmering eagle get-up in exchange for the large lion she appeared in just a year before, just to show that she, too, had pride for her own House.
